Happy Mother’s Day

  • Pierce 4, Tacoma 3 – Stellar pitching performances from TCC’s Brady Houston (6.2ip, 2ER, 3K) and PC’s Reid Madariaga (CG, 3R, 8K). TCC held a 1-0 lead in the 7th before Cade Crist doubled home another run to extend it to 2. But in the bottom half, Evan Overmars tied it with an 2-run single of his own. In the 9th, TCC took the lead on at Kaito Suzuki RBI ground out. Pierce then tied it in the bottom half on a Tommy Takayoshi RBI single before Richard Reding walked it off in the next AB. (Video)
  • Pierce 10, Tacoma 2 (7 inn) – Pierce completed the days’ sweep, hitting on all cylinders in game 2. Riley Paulino went 5 strong with Jose Vizcarra getting the final 6 outs. Cody Russell (2-3, 2B, 2RBI), Ryan An (2-4, 3RBI, SB), and Richard Reding (2-2, 3R) helped put this game on ice. Jackson VanDeBrake (2-4, R, 2B) and Trent Buchanan (3-4, RBI) each had a good day at the plate for TCC.
  • Lower Columbia 10, Grays Harbor 0 (7 inn)Camdem Oram earned the CG shutout, striking out 5 while scattering 6 hits. Matthew Schwarz (3-run HR), Eric Luchies (3-4, RBI), Justin Stransky (3-4, 2R), and Matthew Lewis (2B, 3B, 2RBI) led the offense for Lower Columbia. Grays Harbor CF Preston Vine (3-3) was the lone bright spot for the Chokers.
  • Lower Columbia 10, Grays Harbor 1 (7 inn) – LC kept the line moving in game two tallying 12 hits, 11 of them singles. Kyle Parkman (2-3, 3R, 2B, RBI) had the lone XBH while Liam Kerr and Justin Stransky added 2 RBI each. Brayden Marcum went 5.1 innings, allowing just the one run while striking out 4.
  • Edmonds 3, Shoreline 0 – Strong pitching from Edmonds Tatsuya Uemoto (8ip, 0R, 9K) and Shoreline’s Kaden Wetzel (7ip, 3ER, 8K) kept this game close throughout. Tritons key plays included a 2-run triple by Koutarou Matsumaru and RBI single from Evan Berry (2-4).
  • Edmonds 7, Shoreline 2 – Edmonds Evan Jilbert hit a 2-run HR, scored twice, and stole 2 bags in the Tritons win. Jaidon Matthews added 4 hits and swiped a bag as well. Jackson Gould came in relief of starter Kaden Lewis and only allowed 1 run while striking out 6 over 6.2 innings of work. Steven MacKenzie had a game for Shoreline: 3-4, R, 2 2B, HR, RBI.
  • Bellevue 5, Olympic 1 – Bellevue’s Rylen Bayne dealt in this one, striking out 9 over 8 innings (3H, 1ER, 1BB). Bellevue’s Josiah Santiago hit a 3-run HR in the 8th to put the game away (2-3, HR, 3RBI, SB). Abe Affholter scored twice while swiping 2 bags.
  • Bellevue 8, Olympic 1 – Another strong pitching performance for Bellevue in game 2 as Dylan O’Connor went 8 strong, allowing just the 1 run while striking out 4. Productive days from Eunsang Yu (2-2, 2RBI) and Daniel Goon (2-4, 2R, 3B) helped Bellevue sweep the day.
  • Spokane 1, Walla Walla 0 – A home run for Jace Phelan in the top of the 9th was all the offense in this one. Strong pitching on both sides were the story. Spokane’s Jasper Nelson (6.1ip, 0R, 8K) while Andy Evans & Jeter Schuerman covered the remaining 2.2 innings. Walla Walla’s Hayden Thompson (4ip, 0R, 4K) and Gavin Burns (5ip, 1R, 6K) only gave up 3 hits combined.
  • Spokane 11, Walla Walla 2Dalton Dawson hit a 2-run HR, Eric Mast and Garrett Gores each added 2 RBIs as Spokane completed today’s sweep. Daniel Charron went 6 strong, allowing 2 earned and striking out 6. After a nice outing in the first game, WWCC’s Hayden Thompson‘s hit a 2-run single in the 6th to cut the deficit to 4, but Spokane played add on late with 5 runs in the final 2 frames.
  • Centralia 13, Green River 6 – Centralia got strong start from Keegan Adams, striking out 6 over 5 innings while not allowing an earned run. Matthew Beckworth and Matthew Obst each had 3 hits and each drove in 3 runs. Green River’s offense ran through Eli Savitt  (3-6, 2R) and Tyler Miller (2-5, 2B, 3RBI).
  • Centralia 2, Green River 1 (7 inn) – Both starters threw the ball well. Green River’s Shane Buchanan goes 6, allowing 2 runs (0 earned) and striking out 4. Centralia’s Derek Beairsto also went 6, allowing 1 run while punching out 6. Key offensive contributors were CC’s Andrew Dalton went 2-3, 2B, RBI, SB and GRCC’s Harper Huang hit a solo shot.
