Green River 6, Centralia 5 (10 inn) – Just a 2-1 game after 7, the offenses came alive late. An RBI single by Matthew Obst and a 2-run double by Bennett Comes (VIDEO) gave Centralia the lead in the top half of the 8th. In the bottom half, an RBI single from Josh Parks, RBI double by Marcus Burton, and a Miles Balmores RBI single (VIDEO) gave GRCC a 5-4 lead. Casen Taggart would tie it in the 9th for Centralia with an RBI single but in the bottom of the 10th, Miles Balmores walks it off with a bases loaded bullet to left. (VIDEO)
Centralia 4, Green River 3 (7 inn) – Centralia’s Matthew Obst struck out 11 en route to the win today. He covered 6.2 innings, scattered 6 hits, and didnt allow a run until the 6th. Andrew Dalton (2-4, 2R, 3B, RBI, SB) and Casen Taggart (1-2, 2B, RBI, 2BB, SB) led the way for Centralia on offense (VIDEO). Green River got within a run late, thanks to an RBI triple from Eli Savitt and a pinch-hit RBI double from Josh Parks (VIDEO) before leaving the tying run at 2nd to end the game.
Edmonds 5, Shoreline 1 – The Tritons jumped to an early lead and never looked back. Cody Ranit (3-3, 2R, HR, RBI) hit an inside-the-park home run (VIDEO). Kota Sato went 7 strong, allowing just 3 hits and no runs while striking out 4, earning the win. Ian Roemer pitched well in relief for Shoreline – 5IP, 1R, 3K
Linn-Benton 4, Mt Hood 1 – Kian Hogan was dominant for Linn-Benton, going 6ip, 0ER, 3K. The top of the order in Michael Soper (3-4, 2R), Ruben Cedillo (2-4, 2R, RBI), and Titus Dumitru (2-4, 2B, 2RBI) did all the damage in this one. Mt Hood had one more hit than LBCC (9-8) but just couldnt bring them around. Titus Dumitru, Alex Sol (2B), and Travis Wiese each had 3 hits for the Saints.
Linn-Benton 7, Mt Hood 3 (8 inn) – The teams combined for 17 hits, with 16 of them being singles. Both starters were efficient, LBCC Kaden Miller (5.2ip, 2ER) and MHCC Wally Averett (5ip, 2ER, 2K). Scheduled to go 7, LBCC tied took the lead in the 7th on a balk while Mt Hood tied it in the bottom half via an error. LBCC scored 4 times, started by Tyler Pfeifer starting the inning at 2nd, stealing 3rd, and scoring on an error. Chase Reynolds (1ip, 2K) would slam the door shut.
Olympic 5, Bellevue 4 – awaiting final box score
Olympic 7, Bellevue 6 (10 inn) – Olympic put up 5 in the 4th, highlighted by a Kai Matsumoto 2-run HR (VIDEO). Down 6-3 in the bottom of the 7th, Nate Cain hit a SAC fly before Damon Ingram connected on a 2-run shot (2-4, 2R, HR, 2RBI) to tie it at 6! Tevin Hsu (2-5, 2R, 2RBI) brought home the winning run in the 10th on a fielders choice. BC Ryan Lynch, in relief, went 5 inning without giving up an earned run, while striking out 10.
Utah Valley 5, Lower Columbia 2– Aside from a Kyle Parkman RBI single and Eric Luchies sacrifice fly, Lower Columbia was only able to scatter 8 hits on the day. Pitching held their own with Brayden Wells (4ip, 2ER, 3K), Jase Schueller (3.2, 1ER, 4K), and Jadon Williamson (1.1ip, 2K) all turning in strong performances.
