Auto Bid: Spokane, Tacoma, Linn-Benton, Everett

  • Linn-Benton 12, Chemeketa 3 – LB’s Titus Dumitru hit a 2-run homer and Kaden Segel pitched 4 innings of 1-run ball (5K) in relief to lead the charge in Linn-Benton’s win. Michael Soper (3 hits) and Cole Cramer (2 hits) each drove in 2. Bryant Raeburn went 5 for Chemeketa, allowing 1 run. After he came out, LB scored 11 of their 12 runs. Chemeketa’s offense was highlighed by a 3-4, R, 2 2B performance from Greyson Hanowell.
  • Linn-Benton 11, Chemeketa 5 – Linn-Benton swept the day behind a 4 RBI day from Jake Hoskins (3-4, R) while Tyler Pfeifer (2 SB) and Michael Soper (3 hits) each scored twice. LB put up 7th in the 2nd inning and never looked back in this one. Chemeketa got 2-RBI days from Andrew Eide (3 hits) and Azel Bumpus.
  • Everett 11, Olympic 1 (8 inn)Xavier Ulrich (3-5, R, 2B) and Ben Steck (1-2, R, SB) drove home 2 apiece, while 6 pitchers allowed just 7 hits, 1 earned run, and 12 Ks. Everett clinched the North Divison title with the 10-run win.
  • Mt Hood 6, Lane 0 – Wally Averett went 7 strong, allowing just 2 hits for Mt Hood. Alex Sol (2-3, 2R, 2B, RBI, SB) and Rikuu Nishida (1-4, 2R, 3 SB) powered the offense.
  • Lane 12, Mt Hood 2 – All Lane in game 2, as the Titans put up 9 runs in the first 3 innings (including a Bryan Rojas 3-run HR), Cole Calnon went the distance (8ip, 2ER, 4K – 88 pitches, 64 strikes). Brock Packer and Alex Claxton each added 2 RBI. Mt Hood recorded just 4 hits, but Rikuu Nishida (3 SBs) and Devin Carter (1-2, R, RBI) had productive days.
  • SW Oregon 13, Umpqua 9 – SWOCC survived a furious Umpqua comeback to pick up the W. Umpqua scored all of their runs after SWOCC starter Brandon Ochoa (5.1, 0R, 3K) exited the contest, including 5 runs over the final 2 frames. The Riverhwaks brought the tying run to the plate before Dallas McGill was able to get the final out. Anu McCabe (grand slam VIDEO) and Cannon Morgan (VIDEO) each homered, while Taigo Sato (3-3, 3R) drove in 3 to help pace the SWOCC offense. Umpqua’s Alden Brown (2-2, 3RBI), Dominik Tavares (1-1, 2R, 2RBI), and Jason Bell (2-4, R, 2B, RBI) keyed the Riverhawk comeback attempt.
  • Umpqua 6, SW Oregon 0 – Umpqua’s 4 pitchers combined for the 4 hit, 7 K, shutout (Starter: Eastyn Culp 4ip, 3K) and Julian Jones (2-3, 2R, SB) went deep (VIDEO) to spilt the day. Brandon Cabrera had a huge day, going 4-4, 2R, 2B, 2 3B, 2 RBI for the Riverhawks.
  • Pierce 10, Green River 0 (7 inn) – Pierce put up 3 in the first and never looked back in this one. Taelen Bates (CG, 1H, 9K) was dominant on the bump and Garrett Smith (1-2, 2R, 2RBI, 2BB) homered (VIDEO) powered the Raiders to the W.
  • Pierce 8, Green River 2 (7 inn)Marques Richards went deep in the 2nd game (VIDEO) and Colin Heffernan (2-3, 2B) drove home 2 runs as Pierce took care of business in the nightcap. The Raiders stole 7 bases in this one, with Cody Russell and Keaton Banister each logging 2 SBs.
