The Whitworth Pirates are coming off a 2023 season that finished with an overall record of 11-27 and 7-17 in Northwest Conference play. The Pirates were much more competitive then their final record suggests, with seven of their conference losses coming in one-run games.
February
The Pirates will kick off their season with a challenging road trip in February. First, they head to Los Angeles, CA to take on Occidental College (5-35, 3-21 in SCIAC) in a three-game series, followed by a trip to Texas for a four-game set against Schreiner University – SCAC (18-22, 6-15 in SCAC).
March
March promises to be a busy month for the Pirates with a total of 13 games and the beginning of Northwest Conference play. They will start the month with a four-game homestand against Pacific Lutheran (11-13), three of which are conference games, followed by a three-game non-conference set against NAIA program Eastern Oregon (3-39). The team resumes NWC games and hits the road to face Pacific (25-15) before returning home to host Willamette (25-13). The month will wrap up with a three-game series at Puget Sound (19-16).
April
The month starts with a non-conference series against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (28-11, 18-6 in SCIAC) at home before picking NWC games back up and hosting Whitman (24-19) for four games. The team will then travel to face Lewis & Clark (31-13) before returning home to host the Linfield (13-24) in the final homestand of the season.
May
The regular season concludes in May with a three-game series at George Fox (15-21). The Northwest Conference Baseball Tournament begins May 10th.
