Pacific University Boxers outfielder CJ Colyer has been recognized with a prestigious honor as he was recently named Third Team All-America by D3baseball.com in their 2024 Preseason All-America team. This recognition comes after Colyer’s remarkable 2023 season, where he demonstrated exceptional skills and performance on the field.
During the 2023 season, Colyer showcased his talents by hitting an impressive .388 batting average, .443 on-base percentage, and slugged .721 which included 15 doubles, 2 triples, 12 home runs, and 49 runs batted in. His consistent performance and ability to deliver at critical moments did not go unnoticed, as he was named First Team All-Region 10 in 2023 by D3baseball.com. This accolade highlights Colyer’s contribution to the Pacific University Boxers’ success and his status as a top player in the region.
Earning preseason All-American recognition puts Colyer among the elite players in Division III baseball. He will be one of the most closely watched players when the new season gets underway next month. If Colyer can replicate the success he enjoyed last year, he could very well find himself as a First Team All-American when postseason awards are handed out. For now, he and the Boxers are focused on bringing a championship to Forest Grove in 2024.
