Nick Seamons and Drake George had big days for Lewis-Clark State’s home opener.

The Warriors opened with five runs in the bottom of the first inning, two of them on an RBI double by Pu’ukani De Sa. They added a run in the second inning when De Sa drew a bases-loaded walk, and Thunderbird starter Sean Heppner was chased after only two innings. His replacement was Dylan Myttenar, and he started the third inning with two walks, a single, a run scored on an error, then a three-run home run by Nick Seamons. Myttenar was relieved by Oliver Duthie. He was greeted with an RBI single by Dominic Signorelli, and the Warriors led 11-0 after three innings.

Meanwhile, George pitched pitched six innings, allowed one run on four hits, struck out six. Tucker Grote went the rest of the way, allowed one run on one hit, struck out four.

Seamons finished 2-for-5 with a home run, a double, and five RBI. The Warriors had a total of 16 hits, and only one of their runs was unearned.
