G1: Saint Martin’s 2, MSU Billings 1 – Saint Martin’s struck first with a run in the 4th inning on an RBI single by Jonathan Shimabukuro to take a 1-0 lead. The score remained 1-0 until the 8th when Saint Martin’s tacked on an insurance run on Peter Hollabaugh’s RBI double to make it 2-0. MSU Billings finally got on the board in the 9th when Brock Molenda pinch hit and doubled, advanced to third on a balk, and scored on Ryan Jeffrey’s RBI single to cut the deficit to 2-1. But that’s as close as they would get, as Saint Martin’s reliever Blaze Wong retired the next two batters to end the game. Wong earned the win with 5 solid innings of relief, allowing just 1 run. The Saint Martin’s starter Isaiah Mayfield also pitched well, going 4 scoreless innings while allowing just 2 hits. The losing pitcher Cy Miller pitched great for MSU Billings as well, going 7 innings and giving up just 1 run.

G2: Saint Martin’s 2, MSU Billings 1 (7) – MSU Billings’ Jackson Betancourt and Saint Martin’s Justice Yamashita matched each other pitch-for-pitch, allowing just one earned run apiece without issuing a single walk. Yamashita came out on top, earning his first win by scattering five hits across seven innings while striking out five. Betancourt took the tough-luck loss, surrendering just five hits and two runs, one unearned, over six frames. He was let down by his defense, which committed four costly errors – two of which factored into Saint Martin’s go-ahead run in the 5th. On the offensive side, MSU Billings scratched their lone run across on an RBI groundout by Berk Barnes in the 2nd after a Saint Martin’s error extended the inning. Dylan McLaughlin had two doubles for the Saints.

G1: Western Oregon 7, Central Washington 6 (11) – Central Washington scored early thanks to an RBI double from Andrew Sharp in the first and an Austin Ohland RBI single in the 3rd to take a 2-0 lead. Western Oregon answered in the bottom of the 6th with an unearned run to cut the deficit to 2-1. The game remained tight until the 8th when Central Washington tacked on two more runs, one on a Ben Leid triple and another on a Jake Madson bunt single to make it 4-1. Western Oregon mounted a comeback in the bottom of the 8th, scoring three runs aided by two Central Washington errors to knot the game at 4-4. After a scoreless 9th and 10th, Central Washington broke through with two runs in the 11th on Austin Ohland’s two-run single to retake the lead 6-4. Western Oregon refused to go quietly in the bottom of the 11th. They loaded the bases with one out, and scored three unearned runs on two Central Washington errors to walk off with a dramatic 7-6 win.

G2: Central Washington 4, Western Oregon 3 – Western Oregon got on the board first with an unearned run in the 1st inning on an RBI single by Curran Mitzel. Central Washington tied it in the 2nd on an RBI single by Brady Hinkle. The game remained knotted at 1-1 until the bottom of the 5th when Western Oregon took a 2-1 lead on an unearned run scored by Owen Bischoff on a throwing error. However, Central Washington had a big 3-run outburst in the 7th to go up 4-2. Austin Ohland delivered a 2-RBI single and Andrew Sharp followed with an RBI single. Western Oregon pulled within 4-3 in the bottom of the 7th when Bischoff scored an unearned run on an error. But Central Washington’s bullpen closed the door from there. Jonathan Garza II earned the win, allowing 2 unearned runs over 6.1 innings while striking out 9. Owen Murdock took the loss for Western Oregon despite 9 strikeouts of his own over 6.1 frames.

G1: Whitman 9, Linfield 8 – Whitman edged out Linfield 9-8 in a back-and-forth offensive battle. Whitman jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the 3rd inning on a two-run homer by Jack Bickerton. Linfield responded with a big 4-run bottom of the 3rd, highlighted by Elijah Maris’ two-run triple, to take a 4-2 lead. The teams then traded runs over the next few innings before Whitman tied it 5-5 on Brandon Ting’s two-run single in the 5th inning. Linfield went back ahead 7-5 after 6 innings after a Jake Hoskins RBI groundout and Danny Kahn RBI single. The Blues would tie the game in the 8th on Halen Otte’s two-run blast to make it 7-7. Linfield responded in the bottom of the 8th with Tyler Marr delivering a go-ahead single to give the Wildcats the lead. But Beck Maguire smashed a go-ahead 2-run home run in the 9th. G2: Linfield 6, Whitman 5 – Whitman and Linfield played a back-and-forth affair, with the lead changing hands multiple times before Linfield prevailed 6-5. Linfield responded with an RBI knock from Nick Holm in the 4th to make a 2-1 game.. Linfield then took a 5-2 lead with a two-run 5th inning rally sparked by Tyler Marr’s two-RBI single, and added two more in the 7th on a fielder’s choice and an error. Down 5-2 heading to the 9th, Whitman mounted a dramatic comeback, scoring three runs on RBI hits by Conaway, Halen Otte and a pinch hitter to knot it at 5-5 in the 9th. In the bottom of the 9th, Linfield pushed the winning run across on a Hunter Klingelhoffer RBI single.

G1: George Fox 3, Vassar 2 (10) – A pitchers duel for the first nine innings, George Fox scored a run on a fielding error in the 3rd and Vassar scored a run on a bases-loaded walk in the 5th. That was all of the scoring until the 10th when Vassar pushed across a run to take a 2-1 lead. But the Bruins responded in the bottom half. Mason Eastman worked a leadoff walk and eventually came around to score on Carson Coulter’s sacrifice fly to tie it at 2-2. With the winning run on third, it was Jonathan Stone delivering the heroics with a clutch RBI infield single to plate Jeremy Sangalang for the 3-2 walk-off victory. Michael Singleton was brilliant in relief, allowing just 1 run over 4 innings to earn the win after Caleb Debban gave the Bruins 6 strong innings, surrendering just 1 run and striking out 8.

G2: George Fox 13, Vassar 2 (7) – After falling behind 1-0 early, the Bruins steadily chipped away with single runs in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th innings, highlighted by Jeremey Sangalang’s solo home run, to take a 4-1 lead. They then exploded for 5 runs in the 6th, keyed by a 2-run double from Sangalang and a 2-run double by Isaac Snyder. Leading 9-1, the Bruins tacked on 4 more insurance runs in the 7th, highlighted by a 3-run bomb off the bat of Evan Balingit to put the game out of reach at 13-2. The Boxers would score four times highlighted by a Dawson Tokishi 2-run single to make it 6-1. Bethany mounted a rally in the 7th, scoring 3 runs to cut the deficit to 6-4. But Pacific’s bullpen shut the door with Vincent Lagatta getting the final outs. Carter Wallace was fantastic on the mound, earning the win with 4 innings of 1-run ball.

G2: Pacific 9, Bethany Lutheran 3 (7) – The Pacific Boxers took care of business at home against Bethany Lutheran, winning 9-3 behind an explosive 5-run 6th inning.
