Ricky Walker
Ricky Walker, who has been the pitching coach at Oregon Tech for the past two seasons, has been named Interim Head Coach for the 2025 season.
He replaces Jacob Garsez, who has moved on the Division II Sonoma State.
Walker has been at Oregon Tech for four years. He was the recruiting coordinator prior to becoming the pitching coach, and he played an important role in the development of two excellent pitchers, Patrick Arman and Bronson Chapple.
Prior to Oregon Tech, Walker was at Barstow CC for seven seasons, the last three as head coach. He has also been an assistant coach at Kansas Wesleyan, Willamette, and Colorado Christian.
Walker’s statement about his promotion: “Big things can happen for this team and I am amazed by the group of men and coaches to bond together and stay the course with what we’ve built. We just need to be where our feet are at, take ownership and control what we can control. I am thankful to Coach Garsez and his leadership and guidance the past four years.”
