Central Washington 2025 Schedule Begins on the Road

Central Washington baseball announced their 2025 schedule that begins with extensive early-season travel. Following a GNAC tournament appearance last season after finishing 21-29 overall and 15-17 in conference, the Wildcats begin their new campaign with three consecutive road series.

The season opens in Turlock, California, where the Wildcats face Stanislaus State for a series on February 1-2. Central Washington then heads to Caldwell, Idaho, for games against the College of Idaho February 7-9, before returning to California for three games at Cal State San Bernardino February 14-16.

Wildcats’ 2025 Home and Conference Schedule

Following their road swing, the Wildcats host Western Oregon for their home opener on February 22 in a non-conference doubleheader. The GNAC schedule begins the following weekend when CWU travels to Saint Martin’s to end the month.

March features a balanced schedule of home and away contests for the Wildcats. Western Oregon visits Ellensburg March 7-8, followed by road games at Northwest Nazarene March 14-15. A non-conference doubleheader against Eastern Oregon provides a brief break from GNAC play on March 18, before Montana State Billings arrives for a series March 28-29.

The schedule continues with critical conference matchups throughout April. Saint Martin’s comes to Ellensburg April 5-6, followed by the Wildcats visiting Western Oregon April 12-13. Northwest Nazarene travels to Central Washington April 18-19, and Whitworth rounds out the month with a non-conference series April 26-27.

Regular season play concludes at MSU Billings, with the series scheduled for May 1-2 at Dehler Park. These final games could prove crucial for GNAC tournament positioning as the Wildcats aim to return to postseason play. CWU hosts the GNAC tournament this season. The two-day, three-team tournament runs May 8th – 9th.

About CWU Baseball Field Ariel view of CWU Baseball Field

The Central Washington University Baseball Field has served as the home of Wildcat baseball since the late 1960s. The facility, which accommodates 500 spectators, features a Kentucky Bluegrass playing surface throughout, complemented by a crushed red cinder infield.

The ballpark’s dimensions present a challenge for hitters with its symmetrical layout, measuring 324 feet down the left field line and 326 feet to right field, while expanding to 374 and 376 feet in the power alleys. The center field fence stands 412 feet from home plate, with a uniform 8-foot fence height enclosing the field. Significant renovations have maintained the facility’s modern standards, including a 1985 update that brought a new infield and expanded bleacher seating. In 2019, additional improvements were added that introduced an enhanced backstop netting system, protective padding, and additional spectator seating.
