Oregon State’s First Team Preseason All-American Infielder

Washington transfer Aiva Arquette leads the honorees with a First Team selection. The junior infielder’s arrival in Corvallis brings exceptional credentials to an already strong roster. In particular, his remarkable previous season included a .325 batting average, 12 home runs, and 14 doubles. Moreover, Arquette’s defensive excellence earned him spots on both the All-Pac-12 Team and Pac-12 All-Defensive Team, ultimately making him a complete player on both sides of the ball.

Beavers’ Third Team Preseason All-American Third Baseman

Sophomore third baseman Trent Caraway secured Third Team recognition after an impressive freshman campaign. Despite limited playing time, Caraway certainly made every at-bat count. As a result, his .339 batting average across 18 games demonstrated his potential, while his versatility showed through five doubles and four stolen bases. Consequently, the young infielder’s selection suggests bright prospects for both his development and the team’s future.

Oregon State Preseason All-American Relief Pitcher

Junior reliever Nelson Keljo joins the preseason honorees with a Third Team selection. The right-handed pitcher emerged as a reliable force in crucial moments last season. In fact, his impressive statistics include 60 strikeouts over 43 innings, while maintaining a solid 3.98 ERA across 20 appearances. Therefore, Keljo’s ability to control games in late innings provides the Beavers with a valuable weapon in close contests.

Future Bright for Oregon State’s Preseason All-Americans

Above all, the recognition of these Oregon State Preseason All-Americans reflects the program’s continued excellence in developing elite talent. Furthermore, their presence on the roster, combined with other skilled players like Gavin Turley (19 HR, 74 RBI; drafted in the 19th round of 2024 draft), positions the Beavers as strong contenders in college baseball. Consequently, as the season approaches, these honors serve as both recognition of past success and inspiration for future achievements on the diamond.
