Oregon Tech’s Horner, L-C State’s Cabrera named pre-season All-Americans

C Tyler Horner of Oregon Tech and Twin Falls, ID, and OF Brandon Cabrera of Lewis-Clark State and Aloha, OR have been named to the NAIA-Baseball Coaches Association Preseason Baseball All-America Team.

Horner, a senior studying mechanical engineering, is entering his fourth season with the Hustlin’ Owls. He was named an All-American and the Academic All-American of the Year last season. He tied school records with 21 doubles and 16 home runs. He batted .394 with 59 RBI. His career numbers are .357 with 27 home runs, 142 RBI, 48 doubles, and six triples.

Cabrera is also a senior, majoring in computer science. Last season, he led the Warriors in hitting with an average of .362, and stolen bases with 22. He hit 13 home runs and 20 doubles.
