Lewis-Clark State won their season opener, College of Idaho lost theirs, and British Columbia got their second loss against high-quality competition..

Lewis-Clark State 13, Ave Maria 2: At Lakeland, FL. The Warriors put it away with six runs in the top of the fourth, led by a three-run home run by Ike George. George was 3-for-5 for the game. Meanwhile, starter Evan Canfield held the Gyrenes to six hits for the first five innings. Jackson Cloud, a transfer from Cuesta College, went the rest of the way, didn’t allow a hit. Southeastern 6, British Columbia 1: Aaron Marsh his his second home run in two days, but it didn’t happen until the ninth inning, and it was only the third hit of the game for the Thunderbirds. He got a double earlier in the game. Aaron Robertson got the win for the Fire. James Brock, Adam Khan, and Kellen Bourne pitched for the Thunderbirds; Bourne pitched the final two innings, allowed one run on three hits. Box score

Park-Gilbert 10, College of Idaho 7: The Coyotes trailed 5-0 after five innings. They got close with a three-run home run by Evan Brown in the top of the seventh inning, but the Bucaneers answered with three runs in the bottom of the seventh.
