British Columbia, Oregon Tech, and Eastern Oregon got wins.

British Columbia 9, Lewis-Clark State 5 At Vancouver, BC. Daniel Orfaly got the start for the Thunderbirds, held the Warriors scoreless for five innings, ultimately pitched six innings, allowed no earned runs on five hits, struck out six. The Thunderbirds led 6-1 when he left the game, with a two-RBI pinch-hit single by Kyle Anderson, RBI singles by David Krahn and Mitchell Middlemiss, a solo home run by Krahn, and an RBI when Aaron Marsh reached on a fielder’s choice.

The shutout ended in the sixth inning, when Dominic Signorelli scored after getting on base when a fly ball he hit to center field was lost on the sun. (How often does that happen in Vancouver?) At the same time, the Warriors got 2 2/3 shutout innings by reliever Zachary Ediger. They made it a one-run game with four runs in the top of the eighth, with a solo home run by Signorelli, followed by a three-run home run by Garrett Bevacqua. However, the Thunderbirds answered with an RBI double by Krahn and a two-run home run by Jonny McGill in the bottom of the eighth. Alex Lee, who entered the game in the eighth inning, held the Warriors to one hit to earn a save.

Orfaly got the win, and Warrior starter Robby Butenschoen got the loss. Krahn went 3-for-5 with a home run, a double, and three RBI. Jakob Marquez went 4-for-5 with an RBI for the Warriors. Box score

The series was tied at two games apiece. McGill went 8-for-18 with eight RBI and three home runs for the series.
