Oregon Tech and Bushnell swept, British Columbia defeated College of Idaho.
Oregon Tech 3, Warner Pacific 0 At
Portland. Tim Williams and Kaden Melzer combined to hold the Knights
to three hits. Two of the hits came off Williams, who pitched eight
innings, struck out eight, didn’t walk a batter.
The
Hustlin’ Owls got all the runs they needed with a solo home run by
Tyler Horner in the top of the first inning. Matthew Ortiz was
responsible for the other two runs, an RBI double in the fifth, and
an RBI on a ground out in the seventh. Korrey Siracusa finished
3-for-4 for the Owls, but didn’t figure in the scoring. Box

Warner Pacific 1: The Hustlin’
Owls got all the runs they needed in the top of the first inning,
with an RBI on a ground out by Tyler Horner and a two-run home run by
Michael O´Daniel. Starter Landon Cheney got the win, went six
innings, allowed one run on six hits. Caleb Randolph pitched the
final two innings for the Owls, didn’t allow a hit. Box

19. College of Idaho 6 At
Caldwell, ID. First-year student David Krahn went 5-for-7 with four
runs scored, and starter Ryan Beitel went seven innings, allowed
three runs on eight hits, struck out six.
The
Thunderbirds started off with four runs in the top of the first, with
an RBI double by Trent Lenihan, an RBI on a ground out by Aaron
Marsh, an RBI triple by Mitchell Middlemiss, and an RBI single by
Kyle Yip. Yip added another RBI single in the second inning, followed
by Middlemiss scoring when David Draayers reached on an error, and
Kenny Scott hitting an RBI single. The Thunderbirds led 9-0 after two
innings, and added three more runs in the third, a run in the fourth,
and three runs in the fifth. The Thunderbirds had a total of 25
hits; Lenihan finished 4-for-6
with a double and three RBI. Yip and Scott both went 3-for-5; Yip had
three RBI, and Scott had two. Aaron Marsh went 3-for-4 with three
RBI. Darren Smith went 3-for-3 with an RBI for the Coyotes. Box

Corban 2 At Springfield, OR.
The Beacons led 4-2 after five innings, led by an RBI double and an
RBI single by Jordan Wilson. They didn’t put it away until the
eighth inning, when they scored six runs on a sacrifice fly by Will
Hudler, yet another RBI single by Wilson, a sacrifice fly by Ethan
Stacy, Wilson scoring on an error, a pinch-hit RBI single by Albert
Jennings, and an RBI double by Dylan Carson.
Austin
Wolfe, Loreto Siniscalchi, and Alec Gums combined to limit the
Warriors to four hits. Both of the runs were off Wolfe, and Gums
pitched two hitless innings. Wilson’s numbers were 3-for-5 with a
double and three RBI. Box

Bushnell 5,
Corban 3: Ethan Stacy hit a
three-run home run in the bottom of the first to give the Beacons a
3-1 lead, and Will Hudler hit an RBI double in the bottom of the
second for the winning run. They got an insurance run in the bottom
of the fourth with an RBI double by Reece Carganilla and led 5-1,
then held the Warriors to two runs the rest of the way for the win.
The
Warriors out-hit the Beacons 9-4. Josephan Gonzalez, who got the
loss, went the distance, allowed four earned runs, struck out 13.
Joshua Miyazawa went 3-for-4
for the Warriors. Hudler was the only Beacon with two hits. Starter
