Lewis-Clark State defeated College of Idaho, and Oregon Tech swept a
double-header from Warner Pacific.
Lewis-Clark State
6, College of Idaho 3 at
Lewiston, ID. The Coyotes led 3-1 after five innings, with a run
scored on a wild pitch, an RBI double by Caden Casagrande, and an RBI
single by Chandler Stocking. The Warriors took the lead for good with
three runs in the bottom of the sixth, on RBI singles by Dominic
Signorelli and Noah Weintraub, and the winning run on a ground out by
Abe Affholter. A sacrifice fly by Jack Sheward in the seventh inning
and an RBI single by Ike George completed the scoring.
Jadon
Williamson started for the Warriors, pitched five innings, and struck
out 14 of the 22
batters he faced. However, he was charged with three runs, so Jackson
Cloud got the win in relief. He pitched the sixth through eighth
innings,
allowed no runs on one hit, struck out three. Nate Vidlak pitched the
first three innings for the Coyotes, got the loss. George finished
2-for-4 with two RBI. Casagrande finished 2-for-3 with two doubles

Oregon Tech 11,
Warner Pacific 8 at Klamath
Falls, OR. The Knights took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning
on an RBI double by Connor Hale and a run scored on an error. The
Hustlin’ Owls tied it in the bottom of the second with a two-run
home run by Keanu Mizuta, then went ahead for good with four runs in
the bottom of the third. Those runs came on RBI singles by Julien
Jones and Dane Bradshaw, and RBI doubles by Matthew Ortiz and Logan
Macy. The Knights made it a one-run game in the top of the fourth
with a three-run home run by Trenten Lowe, but the Owls answered with
a solo home run by Jones in the bottom of the fourth. Jones hit a
two-RBI single in the fifth, and
an RBI double in the seventh.
Owl
starter Tim Williams got the win. He pitched six innings, allowed
five earned runs on five hits, struck out five. Bronson Chapple made
another good relief appearance; he pitched the final three innings,
allowed one run on two hits, struck out four. Ayden Yaeger got the
loss. Jones finished 5-for-5 with a home run, two doubles, and four
RBI. Lowe finished 2-for-4. box

Knights took an early lead in this one, too. They got two runs in the
top of the first on an RBI single by Alex
Nisbet and a sacrifice fly by Trenten Lowe, and two more in the
second on an RBI single by Connor Hale and Collin
Schiller getting an RBI by reaching on a fielder’s choice. The
Hustlin’ Owls made it 4-3 in the bottom of the second with an RBI
triple by Dane Bradshaw, Ty
Blakely getting an RBI by reaching on an error, and Patrick Barry
hitting an RBI double. The Knights got runs in the third and the
fourth and led 6-3. The Owls tied it with three runs in the bottom of
the fifth on
a two-RBI triple by Matthew Ortiz, who then scored on a wild pitch.
The Owls got three more runs in the sixth, but the Knights tied it
9-9 in the top of the seventh with an error on a bunt attempt by
Colby Barnes, Mason Deverna getting an RBI on a ground out, and an
RBI single by Hale. However, the Owls put it away wth six runs in the
bottom of the eighth; it started with a sacrifice fly by Jones, a run
scored on a balk, three runs walked in, and another run scored on a
hit batter.
Kaden
Melzer, who pitched the final three innings, got the win. He allowed
three earned runs on five hits, struck out two. Kaden Hindman got the
loss. Ortiz finished 2-for-4 with a triple, a double, and four RBI.
Barnes finished 3-for-4 with a triple and three runs scored. box
