British Columbia defeated Lewis-Clark State to win the regular season championship. Oregon Tech Swept Bushnell, and College of Idaho and Eastern Oregon split.
British Columbia 9, Lewis-Clark State 2 at Lewiston, ID. The Thunderbirds won the conference pennant on the final game of the regular season. Daniel Orfaly pitched eight innings, scattered eight hits, struck out two, and walked four. The Thunderbirds started the scoring with two runs in the top of the first on an RBI single by Aaron Marsh and a sacrifice fly by Kyle Kip. The winning run was scored by David Krahn in the second inning when Russell Young reached on a throwing error. That error extended the inning, and enabled an RBI single by Jonny McGill and an RBI double by Trent Lenihan, and the Thunderbirds led 5-0 after two innings.
The Thunderbirds missed a chance to score a run in the third when David Krahn was thrown out at home on a double by David Draayers. Dominic Signorelli got the Warriors on the board with an home run in the bottom of the third inning, but the Thunderbirds extended their lead in the fourth with an RBI triple by Lenihan (see below), who then scored on a single by Marsh. The Warriors got their second run of the game in the bottom of the fifth on an RBI double by Jack Sheward, which made the score 7-2. Marsh hit an RBI single in the sixth and Mitchell Middlemiss pinch-hit an RBI single in the ninth to complete the scoring.
James Brock pitched the ninth inning for the Thunderbirds. He was greeted with two base hits, but he got a fly out, then a double play ended the game. Warrior starter Landon Webb was chased after being charged with 5 runs (only two of them earned) in 1 2/3 innings. He got the loss. Lenihan finished 3-for-4 with two RBI. Marsh finished 3-for-5 with three RBI. Ike George, Brandon Cabrera, and Signorelli each had two hits for the Warriors. box score recap
Russell Young went 8-for-16 for the four-game series.
The Thunderbirds will host the conference tournament which starts May 2, and their first game will be against the winner of the Bushnell vs. College of Idaho game.

Oregon Tech 11, Bushnell 0 at Klamath Falls, OR. Halted by the run rule after seven innings. The Hustlin’ Owls scored five runs in the bottom of the first inning. It started with an RBI double by Tyler Horner, an RBI triple by Julien Jones, an RBI double by Keanu Mizuta, a run scored on a wild pitch, and an RBI single by Dane Bradshaw. Jones hit a three-run home run in the fourth, and Mizuta hit a two-run home run in the sixth to give the Owls the ten-run margin.
Bronson Chapple pitched 6 1/3 innings, allowed two hits, struck out six. Brian McClelland got the final two outs to complete the shutout. Max Chapman was lit up for nine runs during the first three innings, got the loss. Jones finished 3-for-4 with a home run, a triple, and four RBI. box score

Oregon Tech 17, Bushnell 7. Halted by the run rule after eight innings. The Beacons led 6-3 after 5 ½ innings, but the Hustlin’ Owls scored eight runs in the bottom of the sixth, led by two-RBI singles by Keanu Mizuta and Tyler Horner. They scored six runs in the bottom of the eighth. An RBI single by Patrick Barry gave the Owls the ten-run margin and ended the game.
Riley Cronin got the win. He entered the game in the fifth inning, pitched 2 2/3 innings, allowed one earned run on two hits. Alec Gums got the loss. Matthew Ortiz finished 4-for-4 with a double, two RBI, and three runs scored for the Owls. Jameson Hussey and Kolby Amaral hit home runs for the Beacons. box score recap

Parker Cumberland
Eastern Oregon 7, College of Idaho 1 at Caldwell, ID. The Mountaineers led 1-0 after six innings, on an RBI single by Trevor Baker. They put it away with five runs in the top of the seventh inning, starting with a three-run home run by Parker Cumberland. Afton Milton added a two-RBI single. James Hull ended the shutout on the bottom of the seventh with an RBI by reaching on a fielder’s choice. Mason Van Arsdall hit a solo home run in the top of the eighth to complete the scoring.
Danny Burns got the win. He pitched seven innings, allowed one run on seven hits, struck out four, threw 99 pitches. Cumberland, Baker, and Van Arsdall each had two hits for the Mountaineers. Jace Mahlke and Trevor Watkins each had two hits for the Coyotes. box score

College of Idaho 9, Eastern Oregon 2. The Coyotes got the winning run in the fifth inning on a sacrifice fly by Darren Smith. They added three insurance runs in that inning with a run scored on a wild pitch and a two-RBI single by Trevor Watkins. Cannon Morgan hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the eighth to put it away.
Five Coyote pitchers combined the limit the Mountaineers to five hits. Caden Campa, who took the mound with two out in the first inning, pitched 2 1/3 innings, allowed no runs on two hits, got the win. He was followed by Jacob Lewis, who retired all three batters he faced, struck out three of them. Tyler Rebsom, the second of six Mountaineer pitchers, got the loss. Jack Ingraham hit a home run for the Coyotes, finished 2-for-5. Mason Van Arsdall went 2-for-4 with a home run for the Mountaineers. box score recap
