The Willamette Bearcats are coming off a tremendous 2023 season. They finished with an overall record of 25-14, 15-9 in conference, and earned the #3 seed in the Northwest Conference Baseball Tournament. The Bearcats did a lot of their damage at home last season, going 14-4 at Spec Keene Stadium.
February
The 2024 season kicks off February 23rd at home as the Bearcats welcome SUNY Oneonta (25-15), a D3 school from New York that plays in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC).
March
Willamette faces one more D3 school from out of region, Bethany Lutheran College (25-11) from of Mankato, Minnesota, who play in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC). Northwest Conference play begins March 9th with a trip to Pacific Lutheran (17-19). The Bearcats also face Whitworth (11-27) on the road and have home series against Puget Sound (12-12) and Linfield (13-24).
April
April is an interesting month for Willamette with six conference games and eight non-conference games, including a trip to Illinois. They begin the month with a conference series at Pacific (25-15). They then head to the Midwest for three games at North Central College (IL) (27-14) and two at Concordia University Chicago (20-22). They return home for a NWC series against George Fox (15-21) before welcoming Cal Lutheran (29-17) for a three-game set to end the month.
May
The month of May begins with the regular season finale at home against Whitman (24-19). The following week, the Northwest Conference Tournament begins Friday, May 10th.
