Pac-12 Player of the Week

Player of the Week: Travis Bazzana, Oregon State

Oregon State’s junior infielder, Travis Bazzana, dominated opening weekend, earning him Player of the Week honors. He powered the Beavers to a 3-0 start, batting a scorching .538 with 3 home runs, 6 RBI, and 4 steals. Notably, he hit the game-winning homer against CSUB. This marks his second Player of the Week award for Bazzana and Oregon State’s 81st all-time selection.


WCC Pitcher of the Week

Pitcher of the Week: Sam Stuhur, Portland

Portland’s Sam Stuhur had an amazing debut as a Pilot, throwing five innings with no runs and two hits. He also had 12 strikeouts, the most by a Pilot in their first game and one of the only 24 times a Pilot has achieved that. Stuhur topped the list of strikeouts in a single game among WCC pitchers for the week


GNAC Players of the Week

Player of the Week: Andrew Sharp, Central Washington

Central Washington’s Andrew Sharp dominated the Great Northwest Athletic Conference last week, earning Player of the Week honors. The sophomore hit a scorching .533, carrying a .588 on-base percentage, and led the conference with 6 RBIs. He also notched two 3-hit games over the weekend.

Pitcher of the Week: Kailer Saunders, Northwest Nazarene

Northwest Nazarene starter Kailer Saunders delivered an outstanding performance. In a recent game against the College of Idaho, Saunders struck out 11 batters over 7 1/3 innings, securing an impressive 8-1 victory for the Nighthawks. His precise control and zero walks limited the ‘Yotes to just one run on two hits. With only 82 pitches, the sophomore earned his first victory of the season.


NWC Players of the Week

Player of the Week: Brennen Davis, Lewis & Clark

Lewis & Clark junior Brennen Davis went 7-for-21 (.333 BA) with seven runs scored, 10 RBI and four homers to help the Pioneers win their first weekend of the season. The junior centerfielder had a .1343 OPS and five extra-base hits. He had two multi-hit games and three multi-RBI games. Davis homered twice on Friday, twice again on Saturday added a two-run double on Sunday.

Pitcher of the Week: Hunter Dryden, Whitworth

Whitworth senior Hunter Dryden pitched 5 innings without giving up any runs in Whitworth’s 18-2 victory over Occidental in their first game of the season. He gave up only two hits and a walk and fanned seven hitters to earn the win.


CCC Players of the Week

Player of the Week: Mitchell Middlemiss, British Columbia

British Columbia’s Mitchell Middlemiss is the Player of the Week. He led the T-Birds to four wins out of five games with his outstanding batting performance. He had a .571 average, 1.000 slug, with 12 hits, 13 RBIs, six runs, and two homers.

Pitcher of the Week: Bronson Chapple, Oregon Tech

Bronson Chapple of Oregon Tech pitched seven innings without conceding any runs in OIT’s win over University of Antelope Valley (4-0). He gave up only one hit and fanned eight hitters to maintain a zero ERA.
