The Bushnell Beacons posted a school-record 32-20 mark in 2025. They finished 22-15 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference for fourth place. The team earned a return trip to the CCC Tournament. First-year head coach Jamie Womack built the program from its 2022 start. He led strong home play (23-6), eight walk-off wins, and NAIA poll votes. For 2026, Bushnell loses big offensive pieces—most notably legend Jordan Wilson—and key pitchers with PNW roots. Yet the Beacons return a solid core and add transfers plus freshmen to remain competitive in the CCC.
Key Offensive Departures
Bushnell loses program legend Jordan Wilson. He holds career records in games (174), runs (119), hits (190), home runs (39—tying CCC record), RBI (141), and extra-base hits (73). The two-time All-CCC honoree and 2025 MVP hit .289 with 15 HR and 52 RBI last year (.989 OPS). Infielder Cade Crist (.267 AVG, 11 HR, 42 RBI, .942 OPS) ranks second in program history with 34 career HR and 113 RBI. Outfielder Will Hudler (.327 AVG, 10 HR, 36 RBI, .987 OPS) led the team with 14 SB—a single-season record—and earned a CCC Gold Glove. This group drove most of the run production and leadership.
Returning Hitters
Bushnell returns reliable bats from the 2025 lineup. Chase Nye (.309 AVG, .778 OPS, 47 G) brings elite defense as a CCC and NAIA Gold Glove winner. Outfielder Albert Jennings (.313 AVG, .980 OPS, 39 G) delivers power and on-base ability. Catchers Max Richards (.296 AVG, .875 OPS) and Nate Stevens (.330 AVG, .868 OPS) provide strong contact behind the plate. Dylan Carson (.250 AVG, .877 OPS) adds pop and versatility. Caleb Richter (.385 AVG in limited action) is set for a bigger role. This core offers experience and consistency in the order.
Incoming Hitters
New bats mix experience and upside. Senior Josh Miyazawa (Corban University) hit .280 with a .804 OPS, 10 doubles, 4 triples, and 2 HR in 2025. Junior Mason Millar (Walla Walla CC) brings .325 AVG, .847 OPS, 18 XBH, and 14 SB over two JUCO seasons. Junior Jaden Thomson (Butte College) posted .294 AVG, .811 OPS, and 16 XBH in 2024. Freshman Eli Pupo (Redmond HS) should see big playing time alongside Richter. He adds athleticism to the outfield. This group fills gaps with contact, power, and speed.
Key Pitching Departures
The staff loses weekend ace Max Chapman (4.45 ERA, 64.2 IP, 6-2, 53 K—school record). Braden Proud (5.93 ERA, 13 GS, 54.2 IP) also departs. Bullpen hits include Garrett Vohs (2.70 ERA—school record—20 IP, Lane CC transfer) and Nate Rasmussen (2.74 ERA—second in school history—Bellevue College product). Southpaw Alec Gums (16 appearances, 4 saves—tied for second in CCC) is gone too.
Returning Pitchers
Bushnell keeps arms with real 2025 innings. Austin Wolfe (5.30 ERA, 54.1 IP, 51 K) projects as a weekend starter. Kai Keamo (3.74 ERA, 43.1 IP, 46 K) gives lefty reliability. Jacob Courtney (velo up to 94 mph post-2024 TJ) and Loreto Siniscalchi (T91 mph, former reliever) join the early rotation. Tyler Biddinger (4.30 ERA, 23 IP) returns from injury for relief. Dylan Ha (2.08 ERA) adds long and late-inning work with Elijah Breault (3.71 ERA) and Blake Stavros (5.94 ERA).
Incoming Pitchers
New arms include PNW JUCO talent. Mason Koontz (Wenatchee Valley College) posted 2.80 ERA over 35.1 IP with 29 K in 2024. Camden Gillespie (Edmonds College) and Chaz Kantola (Providence Christian College) add depth. Hunter Schwenk (Chemeketa CC) offers long relief. Freshmen DJ Kauahi (Hawaii) and Griffin Sanchez (Caldera HS, Bend, Ore.) should close early. They bring velocity and upside to the pen.
Outlook
The Beacons enter 2026 chasing another strong CCC finish and a deeper postseason run after last year’s conference tournament appearance and school-record win total. With proven returners like Chase Nye and Kai Keamo anchoring the core, plus incoming talent and freshmen like Eli Pupo expected to see significant playing time, Bushnell aims to stay in the league’s upper tier despite the massive void left by Wilson’s departure and the loss of several PNW-bred arms.
