Portland 8, Utah Valley 6 (10 innings) – Portland starter Sam Stuhr went 6 innings and gave up 5 runs before giving way to Carter Gaston who earned the win by allowing just 1 run over 4 innings. Portland’s offense was led by Brady Bean who went 2 for 6 with a double, run scored and RBI. Center fielder Jake Holcroft also had a big day, going 2 for 5 with a double, 2 runs scored and an RBI. The Pilots trailed 5-0 before scoring 4 runs in the 6th, including a 2-run homer by shortstop Jonas Salk. Portland tied the game at 6 in the 9th on an RBI single by Tristan Gomes. In the 10th, the Pilots took the lead for good when Bean doubled in a run and Holcroft followed with an RBI single. Gaston shut down the Wolverines in the bottom of the 10th to seal the victory.
G1: Washington State 10, Rhode Island 4 – Resuming a suspended game from last night, the Cougars fell behind 3-1 after the top of the 2nd inning but responded with 4 runs in the bottom of the 2nd to take the lead for good. Cole Cramer provided the big blow in that inning with a 2-run double. WSU pitcher Connor Wilford settled down after the rocky start to the day to earn the win, pitching 6 innings and allowing just 4 runs, striking out 2. The Cougar bats stayed hot, tacking on runs in the 4th, 6th and 7th innings. Max Hartman ignited the offense, going 3-for-5 with 2 doubles, 2 RBI, and 2 runs scored. Jacob Morrow also had 3 hits for WSU.
G2: Washington State 17, Rhode Island 7 – Washington State scored first, plating 1 run in the bottom of the 1st inning on a RBI single by Joey Kramer. Rhode Island responded with their first run in the top of the 4th inning on a solo home run by Anthony Depino. The Cougars then broke the game open with 4 runs in the bottom of the 4th, aided by a passed ball and a throwing error. Washington State scored 6 runs in the 5th on 5 hits and 2 errors, punctuated by a Casen Taggart RBI triple, to extend their lead to 10-1. Rhode Island battled back with 5 runs in the top of the 6th, highlighted by a 2 RBI double from Scott Penney. The Rams added 2 more runs in the 7th on Depino’s second home run of the game. But Washington State’s offense was too much, responding with 4 runs in the bottom of the 7th to seal the 17-7 victory. Washington State pounded out 17 hits, led by Max Hartman and Kyle Russell who each had 3 hits. Spencer Jones earned the win for WSU while Sean Sposato took the loss for URI.
#6 Oregon State 10, North Dakota State 0 (8) – Dominant pitching performance from Jacob Kmatz. The junior right-hander was nearly flawless, tossing 5 2/3 scoreless innings while allowing just one hit and striking out eight batters. Kmatz retired the first 14 batters he faced and set the tone early for the Beavers. On offense, Dallas Macias powered OSU with a two-run homer (first career) and RBI double. Travis Bazzana also drove in three runs and had two-run triple. The Beavers broke the game open late, plating five runs in the eighth inning to enact the mercy rule. Tanner Smith, Canon Reeder and Bazzana all had RBIs in the frame.

G1: #15 CSU Pueblo 12, MSU Billings 2 (7 innings)

G2: MSU Billings 16, #15 CSU Pueblo 13 – The Yellowjackets came out swinging in the first inning, pushing across three runs on hits from the top of their lineup. But the Thunderwolves responded right back, plating five runs in the bottom of the third to grab the lead. The see-saw battle continued with the Yellowjackets erupting for four runs in the top of the fourth, highlighted by a two-run blast from Jarret Elmer. The Yellowjacket bats stayed hot, tacking on two more runs in the fifth on a two-RBI double by Zack Blaszak.

The Thunderwolves tried to claw their way back in it, putting up four in the sixth to make it a 12-10 game. But the Yellowjackets had an answer yet again, getting another two-run shot from Elmer and an insurance run in the seventh on a solo homer by Payton Flynn. Heading into the final innings, the Yellowjackets clung to a 16-13 lead. Closer Sage Wayment took over in the sixth and battled through 3.2 innings to finally shut the door.


G1: Central Washington 14, Saint Martin’s 6 – Saint Martin’s scored two runs in the opening inning, highlighted by a Damon Ingram RBI triple. But Central Washington responded with four runs in the bottom of the 1st with Max Bledy and Ben Leid hitting 2-run singles to take the lead. SMU would get RBI singles from Rylen Miyasaki and Austin Schaler to retake the lead in the 4th. But in the bottom half, Austin Ohland hit a 3-run homer and the Wildcats were back on top. Central Washington would tack on four more runs in the 6th to take an 11-5 advantage. Saint Martin’s scored once in the 7th on a Schaler home run, but Central Washington pulled away with three more runs in the 8th to seal the victory.

Alex Brady earned the win for CWU going 5 2/3 innings allowing 2 earned runs, and striking out 5. Gabe Bustamante got the save, throwing 31/3 innings, allowing just 1 run, and striking out 1. Cole Hatton was tagged with the loss, allowing 8 runs, only half of those earned, with 1 strikeout over 5 1/3 innings for SMU.

G2: Central Washington 9, Saint Martin’s 8 – Saint Martin’s took an early 2-0 lead in the top of the 1st inning on an RBI double by Hunter Sasaki. Saint Martin’s extended their lead to 5-0 by the 3rd inning thanks to a 2-run home run from Austin Schaler and RBI double from Alohi Arecchi. Central Washington rallied for 5 runs in the bottom of the 3rd, including a 3-run homer by Andrew Sharp, to tie the game 5-5. Saint Martin’s would retake the lead with 2 runs in the 4th and one in the 5th to go ahead 8-5. However, Central Washington rallied for 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th to take a 9-8 lead. Baba Varner hit an RBI single, Ben Leid drove in two with a double, and then Brady Hinkle knocked in the go-ahead run. Nolan Millman earned the win for the Wildcats throwing 1 2/3 innings, allowing no runs, and striking out 3. Drew Richardson earned the save. Justice Yamashita (5IP, 5ER, 5K) was tagged with the loss.
G1: Western Oregon 6, Northwest Nazarene 5 – Western Oregon took an early 1-0 lead in the first on an RBI double by Curran Mitzel. Northwest Nazarene responded with 2 runs in the third on a single by Trevor Tishenkel. Western Oregon regained the lead 4-2 in the fourth with RBIs from Justyn Herzog and John Oleson. Northwest Nazarene tied it up 5-5 in the sixth on a fielder’s choice by Kailer Saunders. The game remained tied until the 13th when Western Oregon’s AJ Cortese delivered a go-ahead RBI single. Pitchers Devin Bell and Wade Duncan battled into extra innings with Bell getting the win for Western Oregon. Offensive standouts were Tishenkel for Northwest Nazarene with 2 RBIs and Oleson for Western Oregon going 4-7.

G2: Western Oregon 4, Northwest Nazarene 1 – Western Oregon edged out NNU again, this time by a score of 4-1 in a pitchers’ duel. Northwest Nazarene took a 1-0 lead in the second when Drew Deal drew a bases loaded walk to bring in a run. Western Oregon tied it up 1-1 in the third on an RBI groundout by Zach Valdez. WOU took the lead in the 5th on an RBI ground out from Emiliano Alarcon. Tyler Mohler added a 2-run single in the 7th to put this one away. Pitching dominated as Jacob Memmott got the win for Western Oregon allowing just one run over seven innings while striking out six. Saunders took the loss for Northwest Nazarene giving up two runs, 1 earned, over 5.1 innings.

G1: Willamette 6, Lewis & Clark 3 – Clint Walker hit a solo homerun to give the Bearcats an early lead, but the Pioneers answered with two runs in the fifth, on a sac fly and fielders choice, to take the lead. The Bearcats rallied to retake the lead in the sixth on a Luke Piazza RBI single and a sacrifice fly by Carter Stoltz. They extended their lead to 4-2 in the seventh when Carl Lawson scored on a double by Layton Wagner. The Bearcats pulled further ahead in the seventh with Drew Baskin’s two-run double. The Pios would score one in the 8th to get pull within three. However, closer Brady Joyner came on in the ninth and recorded 2 strikeouts to secure the Bearcats’ victory. Key contributors were Walker with a homerun, Baskin with 2 RBIs, and winning pitcher Wagner with 6 strikeouts over 8 innings.

G2: Willamette 6, Lewis & Clark 5 – Drew Baskin gave the Bearcats an early lead with a solo homerun in the first. The Pioneers responded with three runs in the second to take the lead, capped off by a Jack Savant. The Bearcats tied it up in the third on an RBI double by Rocco Granucci. The Bearcats then pulled ahead in the fifth, sparked by a Carter Stoltz homerun, an RBI triple from Baskin, and an RBI double by Granucci, taking a 6-3 lead. Bret Porter brought the Pios within one in the 8th with a 2-run double, but reliever JD Willis recorded 2 key strikeouts. Closer Brady Joyner sealed the 6-5 win with three strikeouts in the ninth. Baskin had another big day at the plate going 4-for-5 with three runs and two RBIs. Granucci also drove in two runs. Winning pitcher Steven Verespey struck out six over five innings.


G1: Whitman 6, George Fox 5 – George Fox scored first on a sacrifice fly in the 1st inning before Whitman evened it up in the bottom half of the frame. After trading runs again in the 2nd, George Fox went ahead 4-2 in the 3rd on a two-run single. Whitman bounced back to tie it at 4-4 in the 4th on a two-run triple from Brandon Ting. The score remained knotted until the 7th when George Fox briefly went back in front 5-4 on a solo homer. However, Whitman responded with a run in the bottom of the 7th on a ground out to make it 5-5. The game went to the 9th still tied before Whitman’s Halen Otte launched a walk-off solo home run to give his team the 6-5 victory. HIGHLIGHT

G2: Whitman 17, George Fox 4 – Linfield Wildcats jumped out to an early lead, plating 3 runs in the bottom of the 1st inning on an RBI single by Tyler Marr and taking advantage of 3 Pacific errors. Linfield extended their lead to 8-0 through 2 innings, scoring 5 more runs in the 2nd highlighted by a 2-RBI single from Matthew Lewis. Linfield scored 2 more in the 5th on another RBI single by Marr to make it 10-0. Pacific finally got on the board in the 6th when Davis Koester hit an RBI groundout. But Linfield answered right back with 2 more runs in the bottom of the 7th on Marr’s 2-run homer, his 3rd RBI hit of the day. Pacific tried to rally with 3 runs in the 8th, including a 2-run homer by Matt Gibbs, but it wasn’t enough. Linfield starter Camden Oram earned the win, going 6 innings and allowing just 1 run. Tyler Marr led Linfield’s offense, finishing 3-5 with 2 singles, a home run and 6 RBIs. Matt Gibbs had a strong day for Pacific, going 2-2 with a home run and driving in 2 of their 4 runs.


Linfield 12, Pacific 4 – Linfield Wildcats jumped out to an early lead, plating 3 runs in the bottom of the 1st inning on an RBI single by Tyler Marr and taking advantage of 3 Pacific errors. Linfield extended their lead to 8-0 through 2 innings, scoring 5 more runs in the 2nd highlighted by a 2-RBI single from Matthew Lewis. Linfield scored 2 more in the 5th on another RBI single by Marr to make it 10-0. Pacific finally got on the board in the 6th when Davis Koester hit an RBI groundout. But Linfield answered right back with 2 more runs in the bottom of the 7th on Marr’s 2-run homer, his 3rd RBI hit of the day. Matt Gibbs had a strong day for Pacific, going 2-4 with a home run and driving in 2 of their 4 runs.
