Not a good day for the conference; three losses, and the only win was against a non-NAIA non-NCAA team.

Webber International 8, Lewis-Clark State 5: L-C State led 4-0 after three innings, including a solo home run by Dominic Signorelli, and 4-3 after four, but #8 Webber (also called the Warriors) put it away with five runs in the bottom of the fifth. L-C State got one more run in the top of the sixth with a sacrifice fly by Noah Weintraub, but were held to two hits the rest of the way by Noah Palmese. Julian Balzer got the win, and Levi Anderson got the loss. Story from L-C State site

This was the final game of L-C State’s Florida trip. They are now 2-4, but here’s a positive; they are the only team that has played Southeastern close.

Oregon Tech 10, Bethesda 2: The Hustlin’ Owls led all the way against Bethesda, which is not a member of either the NAIA or the NCAA. Julien Jones went 3-for-5 with an RBI and three runs scored. Keanu Mizuta went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Alex Rodriguez got the win, pitched three hitless innings. Box score

Hope International 19, Oregon Tech 8: The Owls stayed close to the defending champion and #2 ranked Royals for four innings; they trailed 10-8 at that point. They didn’t score the rest of the way. The Royals broke it open with three runs in the sixth, and a grand slam home run by Nathan Estrada in the seventh. Tyler Horner finished 3-for-5 with a three-run home run and two doubles. The Royals used eight pitchers, the Owls six. Box score

Southeastern 12, British Columbia 0: Mercy-ruled after seven innings. Reece Wissinger went the distance for the #11-ranked Fire, struck out 11, and didn’t give up a hit until Aaron Marsh opened the seventh with one. Nine unearned runs on five errors by the Thunderbirds didn’t help. Starter Will Anderson got the loss. Oliver Duthie pitched the final 2 1/3 innings, allowed no runs on two hits, struck out two. Box score

These two teams will play one more tomorrow. Streaming video here.
