British Columbia and Lewis-Clark State completed four-game sweeps of College of Idaho and Eastern Oregon, respectively.
British Columbia 15, College of Idaho 6
at Caldwell, ID. The Thunderbirds started with an RBI double by Trent
Lenihan and a two-RBI double by Aaron Marsh in the top of the first.
The Coyotes got two back in the bottom of the second with sacrifice
flies by
Bryan Ebe and Jack Ingraham in the bottom of the second, but never
got any closer. Lenihan hit a two-run home run in the top of the
third. The Thunderbirds added four runs in the fourth with a two-RBI
single by Jonny McGill, an RBI single by Marsh, and a sacrifice fly
by Mitchell Middlemiss. Kyle Yip hit a solo home run and McGill hit a
two-run home tun in the fifth. Kellen Bourne hit a two-run home run
in the sixth.
Daniel
Orfaly got the start and the win. He pitched five innings, allowed
four runs on seven hits. Dylan Myttenar pitched the next three
innings, allowed two runs on three hits, struck out four. Alex Lee
pitched the final inning, struck out two of the four batters he
faced. Coyote starter Jakob Cummins got the loss. McGill finished
4-for-4 with a home run, a double, four RBI, and four runs scored.
Marsh finished 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI. Ingraham
batted in five of the Coyotes’ six runs. Box

Izzy Madariaga
Lewis-Clark State
10, Eastern Oregon 0 at
Lewiston, ID. Halted by the mercy rule after eight innings. Izzy
Madariaga (transfer from Glendale CC) got it started with an RBI
double in the bottom of the second, and Bulla Ephan hit a sacrifice
fly. Ike George hit an RBI double in the fourth inning to make it
3-0, Madariaga hit an RBI single in the fifth inning to make it 4-0,
and Charlie Updegrave hit an RBI double in the sixth inning to make
it 5-0. It was Madariaga who hit an RBI single in the bottom of the
eighth to give the Warriors the ten-run margin.
Jantzen
Lucas pitched the first five innings for the Warriors, allowed five
hits, struck out four. Robby Butenschoen pitched the remaining three
innings, allowed one hit, struck out four. Danny Burns got the loss
for the Mountaineers. Madariaga’s numbers were 3-for-4 with a
double and three RBI. George finished 3-for-4 with a double wand two

12, Eastern Oregon 1. Halted by
the mercy rule after seven innings. The Warriors only out-hit the
Mountaineers 7-4, but a three-run home run by Jack Sheward, combined
with eight bases on balls, five wild pitches, and six hit batters
were the difference in this one.
Starter
Joey Estrada got the win; he went four innings, allowed one run on
four hits, struck out three. Jake Green, Levi Anderson, and Zak
Sullivan pitched hitless innings. Tucker Zander got the loss. Garrett
Bevacqua was the only Warrior with two hits. Box
