Four double-headers today. Bushnell swept Warner Pacific, British Columbia swept Corban, C. of Idaho and Oregon Tech split, Lewis-Clark State and Eastern Oregon split.
Bushnell 11, Warner Pacific 3 at Springfield, OR. The Knights got all three of their runs in the first inning, on two hits, off Braden Proud. They got only one more hit the rest of the way. That was off Nate Rasmussen, who pitched 5 2/3 innings, faced the minimum 17 batters, got the win. Tyler Biddinger pitched the ninth inning, struck out two of the four batters he faced.
The Beacons got a run in the first inning on a wild pitch, then got all the runs they needed with a three-run home run by Ethan Stacey. Jordan Wilson added a solo home run in the fifth inning, and the Beacons got four more runs in the sixth, including a sacrifice fly by Stacey. Box score

Bushnell 14, Warner Pacific 4. Halted by the run rule after eight innings. The Beacons led all the way, starting with two-run home runs by Cade Crist and Jameson Hussey in the bottom of the second inning, and a three-run home run by Crist in the bottom of the third for the winning run. However, the game wasn’t a blowout until the bottom of the eighth inning, when the Beacons got seven runs to end it, led by two-RBI doubles by Jordan Wilson and Will Hudler.
Max Chapman started and got the win, pitched five innings, allowed no runs on three hits, struck out eight. Connor Hale got his first loss of the season. Nate Stevens went 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI for the Beacons. Jarrod Seibel went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI for the Knights. Box score
Lewis-Clark State 11, Eastern Oregon 9 at La Grande, OR. The Mountaineers led 2-0 after three innings, on a two-run home run by Mario Landeros. They led 7-2 after four innings, on an RBI single by Parker Cumberland, a two-run home run by Trevor Baker, and a two-RBI triple by Greyson McDaniel. However, the Warriors got three runs in the top of the fifth on an RBI single by Ike George and a two-run home run by Jack Sheward. They took over the game with six runs in the top of the sixth, with a three-run home run by Abe Affholter, a solo home run by George, and a two-run home run by Charlie Updegrave for the winning run.
Both teams had 14 hits, and no errors. Jackson Cloud got the win in relief; he pitched 4 1/3 innings, allowed two runs on two hits (both home runs), struck out five. Shane Sinclair got the loss. George finished 3-for-5 with the home run and two RBI. Noah Weintraub also hit a home run for the Warriors. Box score

Mario Landeros
Eastern Oregon 11, Lewis-Clark State 9. This game was close all the way. The Mountaineers led 9-8 going into the eighth inning. The Warriors tied it in the top of the eighth with an RBI single by Jack Sheward. In the bottom of the eighth, Tucker Zander led off with a walk, and was bunted to second base. The next batter lined out, and the following one, Trevor Baker, drew a walk. That brought up Mario Landeros; he hit a single that scored both Zander and Baker, and the Mountaineers led 11-9. In the top of the ninth, Baker moved from third base to the mound, and he got a popup, a strikeout, and a line drive out to end it.
Landeros finished 3-for-5 with a home run, a double, and four RBI. Greyson McDaniel also hit a home run and a double for the Mountaineers. Ike George, Jakob Marquez, Dominic Signorelli, and Abe Affholter all hit home runs for the Warriors, but they were all solo home runs. Marquez was the only Warrior with two RBI.
Zakaia Michaels, who pitched part of the fifth inning and the sixth through eighth innings, got the win. He allowed two runs on three hits, struck out four, threw 74 pitches. Baker got a save, and he also hit an RBI single. Robby Butenschoen got the loss. Box score recap
This was the Mountaineers’ first win over the Warriors since 2021.
College of Idaho 3, Oregon Tech 2 at Klamath Falls, OR. This game was tied 2-2 going into the ninth inning. The Coyotes got two runs on the top of the third on an RBI single by James Hull and an RBI double by Jack Ingraham. The Hustlin’ Owls tied it with two runs scored on wild pitches in the bottom of the fifth. The winning run, scored by Chandler Stocking, was also on a wild pitch.
Oliver Massie started for the Coyotes, pitched seven innings, allowed two runs on four hits, struck out seven, but also three walks, three wild pitches, and a hit batter. Zaylor Bruegeman, who pitched the eighth inning and part of the ninth, got the win; he allowed one hit, struck out one, walked two. Tim Williams pitched the first eight innings for the Owls; he allowed two runs on six hits, struck out six, threw 96 pitches. The loss went to Riley Cronin. Ben Gaff went 3-for-4 with a triple, a double, and a run scored for the Coyotes. Box score

Oregon Tech 12, College of Idaho 2. Halted by the run rule after eight innings. The Hustlin’ Owls got six runs in the bottom of the fifth, led by a two-RBI double by Garrett Smith, and a three-RBI double by Keanu Mizuta. That gave them a 9-2 lead. They led 10-2 going into the bottom of the eighth, and Patrick Barry scored on a throwing error and Ka’ala Tam hit an RBI single to give the Owls the ten-run margin.
Starter Landon Cheney got the win. He pitched 4 1/3 innings, allowed two runs on five hits, struck out four. Nate Vidlak got the loss. Mizuta finished with two doubles and three RBI in four at-bats. Cannon Morgan went 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI for the Coyotes. Box score

British Columbia 10, Corban 3 at Keizer, OR. The Thunderbirds led all the way. They started with a two-RBI single by Mitchell Middlemiss and and an RBI single by Kyle Yip in the top of the first inning. They got the winning run with a sacrifice fly by Russell Young in the top of the third. The Warriors got three runs back in the bottom of the third, but it was all Thunderbirds the rest of the way, led by a two-RBI single by Middlemiss and another sacrifice fly by Young.
The Thunderbirds got another good start from Will Anderson; six innings pitches, two earned runs on six hits, three strikeouts. They also got a good relief effort from Adam Khan; one hit over the final three innings, one strikeout. Chris Shaffer got the loss, but the Warriors also got an effective relief effort from Casey Henderson; he pitched the final four innings, allowed one run on two hits. Middlemiss finished 4-for-4 with a triple, four RBI, and two runs scored. Box score
British Columbia 10, Corban 9. The Warriors jumped on Thunderbird starter Ryan Beitel for nine runs in the first three innings (seven of them in the third inning) and led 9-1. Beitel was relieved by Dylan Myttenar, and later James Brock, and the Warriors were shut out the rest of the way. The Thunderbirds’ comeback started with a two-run home run by David Draayers in the top of the fourth.They got a run in the fifth, then four runs in the sixth, led by a two-RBI double by Aaron Marsh. That made the score 9-8. They tied it in the seventh with an RBI single by Jackson Boomer, then got the winning run when Draayers reached on a fielder’s choice in the eighth, scoring Trent Lenihan. Then Brock shut the door for the final two innings, allowing only one hit.
Myttenar got the win; he pitched 4 1/3 innings, allowed zero runs on two hits, struck out six. Brock got a save. Isaac Bateman got the loss. Draayers finished 4-for-5 with a home run, a double, and three RBI. Lucas Mertlich hit a three-run home run, Ryan Clay hit a two-run home run, and Chase Elliott hit a solo home run for the Warriors.
