British Columbia and Bushnell swept double-headers against Warner Pacific and Eastern Oregon. Lewis-Clark State split with Oregon Tech, and the second game went 17 innings. Corban and College of Idaho split.
British Columbia 12, Warner Pacific 2 at Portland. Ryan Heppner started for the Thunderbirds, pitched seven innings, allowed one run on three hits, struck out twelve, walked none, got the win. Dylan Myttenar pitched the final two innings, allowed one run on five hits.
The Thunderbirds got two runs in the top of the first inning with an RBI double by Aaron Marsh and an RBI single by Mitchell Middlemiss. Trent Lenihan scored the winning run in the third inning when Kyle Yip reached on a fielder’s choice. Kaden Zarowny hit a solo home run in the sixth inning. In the seventh inning, Jonny McGill hit an RBI double, Yip hit an RBI single, and the Thunderbirds led 7-1. The Knights got their second run in the bottom of the eighth, but the Thunderbirds put it away with five runs in the top of the ninth, on an RBI single by Middlemiss, an RBI on a ground out by David Draayers, a two-RBI triple by Zarowny, and an RBI single by David Krahn.
Krahn finished 3-for-6 with a double and an RBI. Zarowny finished 2-for-5 with three RBI. Mathew Revels went 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Knights. Kaden Hindman went the distance for the Knights, allowed 14 hits, struck out six, walked seven. box score

British Columbia 10, Warner Pacific 2. This game was tied 2-2 going into the ninth inning, and David Krahn hit a grand slam home run to win it for the Thunderbirds (see below).
The Knights scored two runs in the bottom of the first on a two-RBI single by Collin Schiller, but they were kept scoreless the rest of the way by Daniel Orfaly and James Brock. Brock pitched the final three innings, and was especially effective; he didn’t allow a hit, and struck out six of the nine batters he faced.
The Thunderbirds tied it in the top of the third when Aaron Marsh hit an RBI double, then scored on a wild pitch. It was Connor Hale who pitched the first seven innings for the Knights, allowed five hits, struck out three. The loss went to Jaxon Hamada. Schiller finished 3-for-4. box score recap

Bushnell 1, Eastern Oregon 0 at Springfield, OR. Chase Nye hit an RBI single in the bottom of the seventh for the only run of the game. Max Chapman and Alec Gums combined for a two-hit shutout. Chapman pitched the first six innings, allowed one of the hits, struck out six, walked five. Gums pitched three innings, allowed the other hit, struck out three.
Albert Jennings finished 4-for-4 for the Beacons, but didn’t figure in the scoring. The Mountaineers stranded runners on third base in the third, fourth, and seventh innings. Mountaineer starter Danny Burns got the loss, pitched seven innings, allowed one run on eight hits, struck out seven. box score
Bushnell 12, Eastern Oregon 6. The Mountaineers led 6-4 after three innings, and the six runs included a two-RBI single by Trevor Baker. The Beacons had a two-RBI single by Ethan Stacy. However, the Mountaineers didn’t score again the rest of the way. Garrett Vohs took the mound in the third inning, pitched 4 1/3 innings, allowed three hits. Dylan Ha pitched the final two innings, didn’t allow a hit.
The Beacons went ahead for good with three runs in the bottom of the fourth, on a two-RBI double by Albert Jennings and an RBI single by Jordan Wilson. Reece Carganilla hit a two-RBI double in the bottom of the fifth, and Jennings completed the scoring with a three-run home run in the seventh.
Vohs got the win, and Will Seslar got the loss. Jennings finished 3-for-4 with six RBI. Baker finished 3-for-5 with three RBI. box score recap
The Beacons swept the four-game series.
Lewis-Clark State 6, Oregon Tech 3 at Lewiston, ID. The game was tied 3-3 going into the bottom of the seventh. Tyler Horner hit a solo home run for the Hustlin’ Owls in the top of the first, and the Warriors answered with an RBI on a ground out by Charlie Updegrave. The Owls took a 3-1 lead in the third on an RBI on a ground out by Matthew Ortiz and an RBI single by Horner. The Warriors tied it in the fifth with an RBI single by Updegrave and an RBI double by Noah Weintraub. In the bottom of the seventh, Updegrave hit a solo home run for the winning run (see below). The Warriors added two insurance runs in the bottom of the eighth with an RBI double by Bulla Ephan and an RBI single by Ike George.
After giving up the three runs in the early going, Evan Canfield pitched 3 2/3 scoreless innings, allowed four hits, struck out seven. Jackson Cloud got the win in relief, pitched 2 1/3 innings, allowed no hits, struck out three. Bronson Chapple got the loss in his first appearance of the season.
Updegrave finished 2-for-4 with three RBI. Horner had two of the Owls’ four hits. box score
Oregon Tech 6, Lewis-Clark State 5 (17 innings). The Hustlin’ Owls tied it 4-4 in the top of the eighth with an RBI single by Matthew Ortiz. In the top of the tenth, Julien Jones hit a home run to give the Owls a 5-4 lead. In the bottom of the tenth, the Owls got two outs on line drives, then Dominic Signorelli hit a home run to keep the game going. The Warriors had the winning run in scoring position in the 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, and 17th innings. The Owls got double plays in the 15th and 16th innings. In the top of the 17th, Patrick Barry hit a single, then went to second on a passed ball. Jones then hit a double to bring home the winning run (see below). With one out in the bottom of the 17th inning, Ike George hit a ball in the direction of reliever Alex Rodriguez, and Rodriguez made a great play to field the ball and get the out at first. The next batter made a ground out to finally end the game, which took 4:38 to play.
Rodriguez got the win. He pitched the final three innings, allowed two hits. Riley Cronin pitched the 11th through 14 innings for the Owls, allowed no runs on three hits, struck out four, walked four. Jace Taylor pitched the 11th through 13th innings for the Warriors, allowed one hit, struck out five of the ten batters he faced. Landon Webb pitched the final four innings, allowed three hits, struck out three, got the loss. Logan Macy went 3-for-7 with a double and a run scored for the Owls. Jakob Marquez went 4-for-8 with two doubles and two RBI for the Warriors. Charlie Updegave hit a home run in the bottom of the seventh to give the Warriors the lead, same as in the first game. box score recap
This was a record for the longest game for both teams. The previous record for both teams was 15 innings. The Warriors’ two previous 15-inning games were against Division I teams; the most recent one was a loss to Gonzaga in 2006.

Corban 5, College of Idaho 4 at Caldwell, ID. The game was scoreless until the fifth innings, when the Warriors took a 2-0 lead when Isaac Bateman came on on a double play ball and Chase Elliott hit an RBI single. The Coyotes got one back in the bottom of the sixth on an RBI single by Darren Smith. The Warriors got the rest of their runs in the top of the seventh on RBI singles by Peyton Rickard and Lucas Mertlich, and Nathaniel Gutierrez scored the winning run when Edward Vasquez reached on an error. The Warriors then had to hang on when the Coyotes scored three runs on the bottom of the eighth on a two-RBI single by Connor Olsen and an RBI single by Smith. However, the Coyotes stranded runners on second and third. They had pinch-hitter Cannon Morgan in scoring position with one out in the bottom of the ninth, but he was caught trying to steal third base.
Warrior starter Chris Shaffer got the win, pitched seven innings, allowed one run on four hits, struck out seven. Oliver Massie got the loss; he also went seven innings, allowed four earned runs on eight hits, struck out six. Bateman finished 3-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored. College of Idaho 7, Corban 4. The Coyotes scored six of their seven runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. Bryan Eby got it started by scoring a run on a throwing error. Darren Smith and Jace Mahlke drew walks to score runs, and pinch-hitter Austin Moon was hit by a pitch to score another. Cannon Morgan then hit a two-RBI single for the winning run. The Coyotes added two insurance runs in the eighth on a double by Smith.
Nate Vidlak started for the Coyotes, pitched six innings, allowed all four of the Warriors’ runs on ten hits, struck out five. Zaylor Bruegeman pitched the next two innings, retired all six batters he faced, struck out two of them. Kaden Lapp pitched the ninth inning, struck out two of the three batters he faced. Warrior starter Josephan Gonzalez got the loss. Smith finished 1-for-3 with three RBI. Ryan Clay and Drew DeMasi both finished 2-for-4 with a double for the Warriors.
