Game 9: Umpqua 9, Bellevue 2 (Bellevue eliminated)
The Umpqua Riverhawks surged early and never looked back, defeating Bellevue 9-2 in an elimination game at the 2025 NWAC Baseball Championship on Saturday at David Story Field.
Umpqua jumped ahead in the first, as Carson Dunn scored on a double steal aided by a Bellevue error, followed by Noah Cox’s two-RBI double, making it 3-0. Bellevue responded in the third when Oliver Hogan’s two-run homer scored Brandon McKinley, cutting the lead to 3-2. Umpqua regained control in the fourth with Jackson Thomsen’s RBI single, plating Cox. In the seventh, Jeremiah Robbins was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, scoring Zane Bidwell. The Riverhawks sealed the rout in the eighth, as Bidwell’s RBI single and Payton Smith’s two-run homer pushed the score to 9-2. Umpqua’s Sam Coffman pitched seven strong innings, allowing two runs on six hits with four strikeouts. AJ Victoravich tossed two scoreless relief innings. Bellevue’s Dylan Skolfield took the loss, yielding five runs over four innings. Bidwell and Cox each had two hits for Umpqua, while Noah Fields led Bellevue with three hits. The Riverhawks advance to face Linn-Benton in an elimination game on Sunday.

Game 10: Spokane 4, Lower Columbia 2 (LCC eliminated)
The Spokane Sasquatch kept their championship hopes alive, defeating Lower Columbia 4-2 in an elimination game at the 2025 NWAC Baseball Championship on Saturday at David Story Field.
Spokane struck first in the opening inning when Jalen King scored on Reese Vassar’s RBI groundout. After a quiet stretch, the Sasquatch broke through in the sixth, as Cooper Davis launched a two-run homer, scoring Drew Stevens. Later in the inning, Vassar was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, driving in Cole Krepcik to make it 4-0. Lower Columbia answered in the sixth with Harlan Rowe’s RBI single, scoring Sam Davidson. Rowe struck again in the eighth, driving in Davidson to cut the lead to 4-2, but Spokane’s bullpen held firm. Carson Boesel earned the win, allowing one run on five hits over 5.1 innings with three strikeouts. Tyler Boden, David Barnes, and Tyler Alm combined for 3.2 innings of relief, with Alm securing the save. Lower Columbia’s Kaden Harris took the loss, yielding four runs on seven hits. Rowe led the Red Devils with three hits. Spokane advances to face Tacoma in a must-win game for the Sasquatch on Sunday.

Game 11: Tacoma 7, Linn-Benton 4
The Tacoma Titans staged another dramatic comeback, erasing a 4-0 deficit to defeat Linn-Benton 7-4 in a winners’ bracket game at the 2025 NWAC Baseball Championship on Saturday at David Story Field.
Linn-Benton surged ahead in the first, capitalizing on a Tacoma error to score Kolten Lindstrom on Aiden Hazen’s RBI groundout, followed by Jake Dodge’s RBI single to plate Bryant Starr, making it 2-0. Andrew Demianew’s solo homer in the sixth and Conner Boyd’s RBI single in the seventh extended the lead to 4-0. Tacoma began its rally in the seventh with Chase Cretti’s RBI single, scoring Isaiah Afework. In the eighth, with two outs, Emmett Weichbrodt singled, and walks to Afework and Kaleb McNeely loaded the bases. Hit-by-pitches to Jailon Goodfellow and Kaden Cretti drove in two runs, then Chase Cretti’s bases-clearing triple gave Tacoma a 6-4 lead. Cretti scored on a wild pitch for the final 7-4 margin. Jake Rafferty earned the win, tossing three innings with one run allowed. Austin Crawford allowed three runs (one earned) over six innings. Linn-Benton’s Jake Von Lubken pitched seven strong innings, allowing one run. Tacoma remains unbeaten and faces Spokane on Sunday.
