Lewis-Clark State and Oregon Tech split a double-header, and the College of Idaho swept a double-header against Corban.

Lewis-Clark State 7, Oregon Tech 6
at Lewiston, ID. This game was close all the way, and the Hustlin’
Owls took a 6-4 lead in the fifth inning with a three-run home run by
Tyler Horner. The Warriors made it a one-run game in the bottom of
the sixth when courtesy runner Alex Sol scored when Anthony
Karagiannopoulos reached on a fielder’s choice. They got the
winning run in the bottom of the seventh on a two-RBI double by Bulla
Ephan.
Zak
Sullivan got the win in relief. He took the mound in the fifth
inning, pitched 3 1/3 innings, allowed no runs on two hits, struck out one,
walked three. Zachary Ediger pitched a perfect ninth inning, got a
save. Drake Aboud got the loss. Ephan finished 3-for-3 with a home
run, two doubles, and four RBI. Matthew Ortiz and Ka’ala Tam both
went 3-for-5 with a double for the Owls, and Tam had two RBI. box

Oregon Tech 11, Lewis-Clark State 6.
The Hustlin’ Owls led 5-3 after four innings. The Warriors took a
6-5 lead in the bottom of the fifth with a two-run home run by
Charlie Updegrave and Abe Affholter getting an RBI for reaching on an
error. The Owls tied it on an RBI single by Korrey Siracusa in the
top of the sixth, then took the lead for good with three runs in the
top of the seventh. Logan Macy hit an RBI single for the winning run,
then Ka’ala Tam added a two-RBI single. Tam scored a run on a
throwing error in the top of the ninth, and Patrick Barry got an RBI
on a bunt single to complete the scoring.
Noah Loew got the win in relief.
He pitched the fifth and sixth innings, allowed one unearned run on
two hits, struck out one. He was relieved by Bronson Chapple, who
pitched the final three innings, and played a major role in this win.
He retired every batter he faced, and struck out three of them. This
was his second appearance of the season; the first one was yesterday.
Levi Anderson, who was charged with the three seventh-inning runs,
got the loss.
The Owls had no extra-base hits.
Tyler Horner went-3-for-5 with two runs scored. Macy had one hit, a
sacrifice fly, and three RBI. Tam went 2-for-5. Jack Sheward went
2-for-4 with a two-run home run. box

College of Idaho 10, Corban 0 at
Caldwell, ID. Halted by the run rule after seven innings. Connor
Olsen hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the fifth to give the
Coyotes a 5-0 lead. Ben Gaff hit an RBI single in the bottom of the
seventh to make it 9-0, then scored on a passed ball to give the
Coyotes the ten-run margin. Dawson Cummins went the distance for the
two-hit shutout, struck out five, threw 104 pitches. The Warriors
never got a runner to second base.
Olsen finished 2-for-3 with four
RBI and a walk. box

College of Idaho 6, Corban 3.
The Warriors got two runs in the top of the first on a two-RBI double
by Isaac Bateman, and got only one run the rest of the way. The Coyotes
answered with three runs in the bottom of the first inning. Two of
them came on a single by Jack Ingraham, who then scored on a single
by Darren Smith. The winning run came on a solo home run by Smith in
the bottom of the third, and Chandler Stocking and Ben Gaff added
sacrifice flies.
All three of the Warriors’
runs came at the expense of starter Jackson Cummins, who pitched 4
2/3 innings, allowed seven hits, struck out six. He was relieved by
Zaylor Bruegeman, who retired all seven batters he faced. Kaden Lapp
and Grant Jakobson each pitched one-hit innings. Warrior starter Sam
Greenhalgh got the loss. Jace Mahlke was the only Coyote with two
hits. Joshua Miyazawa went 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored
for the Warriors. box
